We were treated to a great week at the club last week, terrific squash, camaraderie, support and above all fun. It was fantastic to see lots of members all contributing in the way that they could which helped to make the whole week something to be proud of. My special personal thanks to the following and I hope I didn’t miss anyone out
Ollie Fincher for his vision, considerable financial support and spending every evening around the club (hope you didn’t get into TOO much trouble for this).
Chris Hall for organising the whole event, again being around all week to support the players from all over the country and beyond. Top professional and hope YOU didn’t get into TOO much trouble for this.
Mat Stevens for providing the IT kit and know-how to stream all matches from Court 6 to the TV in the bar. Also providing live scoring so the seated audience and the viewers in the bar could follow the matches better. He has also uploaded all of these games to our YouTube channel, there are links from the website. Same comments about Mat being “not at home enough”, hope all OK.
Pete Oddy for referring matches and helping with so many bits and pieces inc helping Mat with the streaming.
Tony Holder for providing the food for the players etc in the bar and a great raffle prize.
To all those who provided raffle prizes which raised £210 to our project fund, there were:
Steve Smith, Rich Quill, Chris Hall, Simon Nuttall, Derek Harper – have I forgotten someone?
These events wouldn’t happen without the above mentioned and of course all of these great players and those that attended to watch and enjoy.
We hope to do this event and maybe someone other than Jan will be victorious.
